Satisfactory

Satisfactory is an FPS with elements of economic strategy and simulation game, developed by the Coffee Stain Studios team - the team that previously delivered the Sanctum series and the best-selling Goat Simulator, among others. The production was developed for the PC platform.

Storyline

While playing Satisfactory, we play as an employee of the Ficsit corporation, which is engaged in conducting scientific research and implementing new technologies. Taking part in the Save The Day program, we are sent to one of the distant planets to implement there the assumptions of a top-secret project called Project Assembly. Our task is to create a powerful automated factory complex.

Mechanics

While playing Satisfactory on the PC platform, we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The developers put at our disposal an open world with an area of thirty square kilometers; an important element of the gameplay is exploration, as this is the only way to find raw materials for erecting buildings, constructing various devices and building production lines.

Due to the fact that the goods we produce increase in size over time, a prerequisite for success is the constant expansion of the complex and providing it with sufficiently efficient sources of power. As the factory becomes a veritable moloch as it progresses, vehicles (the likes of buggies, trucks and trains), as well as hanging walkways or jumps, which make it easier to navigate and move between distant points, become increasingly important.

Things, however, can be complicated by the local fauna. Although among the creatures roaming the surface of the planet there is no shortage of peaceful creatures suitable for taming, roaming the wild backwoods we often come across aggressive, overgrown predators; during an encounter with one of them we usually have no choice but to make use of firearms.

Game modes

Satisfactory allows both single-player and cooperative gameplay in the company of three players.

Technical issues

Satisfactory's three-dimensional graphics present a high level of execution; the various elements of the factory are full of detail, and the environment is overgrown with dense vegetation.
