Animal Shelter

Animal Shelter Simulator is a simulator of running an animal shelter, where we take care of a wide range of creatures that need our help until we find them decent owners. Games Incubator is responsible for creating the game and PlayWay S.A., which specializes in unusual simulators such as Thief Simulator or Car Mechanic Simulator, is responsible for its release.

The plot

Animal Shelter Simulator gives us the opportunity to play the role of a shelter owner rescuing injured and abandoned animals. Our main goal is to take good care of stray pets, provide them with comfort and safety and most of all find them a home. We face a long but rewarding process of caring for and managing a growing shelter.

Mechanics

Animal Shelter Simulator is a representative of the simulator genre, in which the game is played from the first-person view. We start the adventure by managing a small building and even smaller resources necessary to care for animals. However, the better we do and the more special tasks we perform, the sooner we can invest in the expansion of the facility. We have to enlarge the area with an enclosure and fence, expand and add new buildings, thanks to which more animals will find shelter, as well as purchase more and more specialized equipment to facilitate care. However, all this depends on how many four-legged (and not only!) children will eventually find new homes, where loving owners will be waiting for them.

There is a long process of convalescence of the animal and proper adaptation to life with humans - especially since a large number of animals that come to us have been abandoned and are not very trusting towards humans. Caring for animals is the core of the gameplay and involves many activities. We have to do such basic things as feeding the animals, preparing their cage and a place for them to sleep, ensuring proper hygiene by bathing and trimming or dressing wounds and taking care of their general health. There will also be walking or letting the animals out in the paddock, so that they can let off their energy and become happier, and control of aggressive behavior that may arise between the four-legged creatures, especially if they share a cage and there is a fight for territory. All this will make the animal cheerful and happy, which automatically increases the chance of finding it a home.

Initially, the gameplay is not too demanding, because we have a small number of pets under our care, but as the shelter grows, we are faced with more tasks and responsibilities, while each of the little ones needs our attention.
