Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Shadow of the Tomb Raider follows Lara Croft as she fights the paramilitary group Trinity and tries to stop a Mayan catastrophe. She has to battle enemies with stealth and firearms, raid tombs to earn new rewards, look for resources that can be used to make useful materials and complete side missions.

The action-adventure game was designed to wrap up Lara’s journey that started in 2013. The game’s narrative and the setting were based on Aztec and Mayan mythologies. It is played from a 3rd-person perspective. Players control the actions of Lara Croft as she explores the areas of Central America. 

Shadow of the Tomb Raider also reveals the lost city of Paititi. Players can take on side missions and quests and learn more about the city to enjoy a richer experience. They can also salvage weapons and parts in Paititi and trade resources thanks to the game’s new barter system. Players can explore optional tombs and hunt wild animals. 

The game has more tombs than the past installments. The player can also customize their gameplay experience by configuring the puzzles, combat and exploration settings. There’s an Immersion Mode that allows players to hear the locals’ background conversations in their native language. When this mode is turned off, the conversations are heard in the preferred voice over language of the player. 

Lara is now capable of holding her breath underwater for an extended period due to the new air pockets. She can also use a rope to rappel down a cliff. Lara can hide in bushes or cover herself with mud to escape from the line of sight of enemies. She also investigates a commotion at a local temple, which is a trap set by Trinity.
