Inside Eiyuden Chronicle Rising
You control three heroes: a fighter, a mage, and a... well, let's call her the agile one. Switch between them mid-combat. Each has unique skills. You'll need all three to solve puzzles and beat bosses. I died. A lot. Especially against that giant crab.
Combat is real-time side-scrolling. Jump, slash, cast spells. Dodge or die. Sometimes you just stand there and stare at the beautiful 2.5D backgrounds. Honestly?, it's worth it just for the art.
There's also town building. Clear rubble, build shops, unlock upgrades. It feels good to see the place come back to life. The story ties directly into Chronos Before the Ashes and Tales of Arise vibe? Not really. But fans of classic JRPGs will feel right at home. Available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
