What's in the Half-Life 1 Anthology
Five games. One crowbar. Let that sink in. The original Half-Life is a masterclass in environmental storytelling - no cutscenes, just you figuring things out. Trust me on this, the moment a tentacle crashes through a window is burned into gamer memory forever. Opposing Force puts you in the boots of Adrian Shephard, a soldier sent to contain the disaster. Blue Shift lets you see the chaos through Barney Calhoun's eyes - a security guard with a bigger gun and a weaker paycheck. Both expansions add new weapons and perspectives without breaking the original's feel.
Half-Life: Source upgrades the original with the Source engine's physics and lighting. It plays the same but looks cleaner. Half-Life Deathmatch: Source is pure PvP chaos - rocket jumps, crossbow snipes, and the crowbar melee that started it all. I died. A lot.
