Inside Starfield

This is Bethesda's first new universe in 25 years. And it shows. You explore over a hundred star systems with thousands of planets. Some are empty rock balls. Others hide ancient ruins or pirate bases. Trust me on this - you'll spend hours just looking at the sky.

The character creator is deep. Want to be a smooth-talking diplomat? Go for it. A guns-blazing soldier? Also works. Your background and traits open up different dialogue options and quest paths. I died a lot in the early hours. Mostly because I picked fights I couldn't win.

Combat is first or third person. You've got ballistic weapons, lasers, and ship-to-ship dogfights. Speaking of ships - you can build your own from scratch. Or steal one. The choice is yours. Factions like the Ecliptic mercenaries and Crimson Fleet pirates keep things interesting. Will you join them or fight them?

Fans of Star Control: Origins will feel right at home. And if you enjoyed Everspace 2, the ship combat here scratches a similar itch.
