Each run feels fresh. You pick a Turtle - Leo for balance, Mikey for crowd control, Donnie for ranged tactics, Raph for raw damage. Then you dive in. Rooms are procedurally generated, so no two paths look the same. You might face Karai one run, then Bebop and Rocksteady the next. Boss modifiers keep you guessing. Easy? Not really.
Co-op with up to three friends changes everything. Suddenly you're coordinating attacks, reviving each other, and laughing when someone runs into a trap. Honestly? It's at its best with a full squad.
You unlock new abilities as you go. Mix fire, water, light and dark powers to create weird builds. Sometimes you just stand there and realize you accidentally made a poison-spewing turtle god. I died. A lot.
The story keeps things moving. Strange portals, missing Splinter, April O'Neil helping out - it's classic TMNT chaos.
