Combat is real-time. You switch between two attack ranges, use items that don't disappear, and keep moving. Easy? Not really. Monsters hit hard when you're not paying attention. But the flow feels great once you get the hang of it.

The alchemy system is the heart of the game. You gather ingredients, mix them, and create everything from healing salves to explosive candy. Crafting mid-exploration is a thing. I died. A lot. Because I ran out of healing items and forgot to stock up. Learn from me - always carry spare flasks.

There's base building too. Decorate, upgrade, make it yours. Reminds me of the secret hideout from other series entries. The story unfolds naturally as you explore - no massive lore dumps. Just you, the world, and whatever you decide to do next.
