Directive 8020 is a cinematic sci-fi horror adventure from Supermassive Games. You play as an astronaut trapped on the colony ship Cassiopeia after a crash on Tau Ceti f, hunted by a deadly alien organism that can imitate human beings. Like in Aliens Dark Descent, you explore dark corridors, make tense choices, and try to keep the crew alive long enough to return home.

Directive 8020 - Story and Mechanics

In Directive 8020, you move through the story from a third-person perspective while exploring abandoned ship sections and hostile environments on Tau Ceti f. Conversations with the crew shape the plot, and your decisions can completely change who survives. Sometimes you trust the wrong person - and that mistake follows you for the rest of the game.

The main threat is a terrifying alien organism capable of copying its victims. Anyone on the ship could already be infected. Who is human and who is not? That constant paranoia changes how you approach every conversation and encounter. You can defend yourself using improvised weapons, but stealth is often the safer option when the creature starts hunting through narrow corridors.

The game supports singleplayer and cooperative play for up to five players. If you enjoy top-down rogue-lite action with procedurally generated runs and permadeath challenges, check out Deadzone Rogue. You can play online or in local couch co-op movie night mode, where different players control members of the Cassiopeia crew. Multiple endings and the Turning Points system allow you to replay scenes and discover alternate paths.
