Game Description

RIDE Digital Deluxe Edition is the legacy premium package for RIDE, Milestone's motorcycle racing and simulation game on PC. The current Steam storefront presents the core product simply as RIDE, while the older Deluxe package combines the base game with its season content, bike packs, soundtrack, and making-of material.

Unlike a championship-only motorcycle simulator, RIDE is built around a broad collection of street bikes, varied event types, rider progression, and detailed machine tuning. It suits players who want a structured motorcycle racing catalog rather than an open-world driving game.

World Tour Racing And Bike Control

The main progression mode is World Tour, where reputation determines your position in the global ranking and eventually unlocks higher-profile challenges, including Elite Trophy events. You move through motorcycle festivals and event categories instead of following a single linear championship.

World Tour races include Single Race, Championship, Time Attack, Drag Race, Head to Head, Team Race, and Endurance events. Drag races use an elimination bracket, while endurance events place greater emphasis on sustained control and rider technique.

The track lineup covers GP circuits, country roads, and city tracks across 15 locations. Quick Race and Time Trial provide faster ways to test any unlocked bike without committing to the World Tour structure.

Physics, Assists, And Riding Technique

RIDE uses a physics-focused riding model where braking, lean angle, throttle control, weight transfer, and corner exits all affect the result. The perspective is primarily a third-person chase view, with camera options that let players choose a more direct racing presentation.

New players can use auto brakes, joint brakes, an ideal trajectory, automatic tuck-in, automatic transmission, anti-wheelie assistance, and adjustable traction control. These are not cosmetic settings: they change how much of the braking, acceleration, and stability workload the rider must manage.

More advanced riders can disable those aids and work with the bike's behavior directly. The game also includes a limited Rewind function for correcting a crash or poor corner entry, although its restricted supply prevents it from replacing clean riding.

Bike Tuning And Rider Customisation

The garage is a major part of the progression loop. RIDE includes more than 100 motorcycles from 14 manufacturers, covering modern production bikes and historic models across categories such as Superbike, Supersport, Naked, and Open machines.

Visual changes include liveries, handlebars, clothing, helmets, gloves, suits, boots, and other rider equipment. Performance upgrades can affect the bike's engine, air intake, exhaust, transmission, chain, and other components, giving the garage a practical role beyond appearance.

Before a race, players can adjust suspension preload, spring and damping behavior, steering geometry, and gear ratios. A shorter final ratio favors acceleration, while a longer ratio can make high-speed sections easier to manage. The useful distinction is that upgrades alter the machine's potential, while setup work adapts that machine to a specific circuit.

What The Digital Deluxe Package Includes

The current Steam product is listed as RIDE, not as a separately presented Digital Deluxe Edition storefront page. The legacy Deluxe package remains associated with the RIDE app and includes the base game plus the Season Pass, Yamaha 2015 Bike Models, Yamaha Historical Bikes, 2015 Top Bikes Pack 1, and 2015 Top Bikes Pack 2.

The package also contains digital extras rather than another playable campaign: a RIDE soundtrack and a making-of publication. Players should distinguish this package from RIDE's later numbered sequels, because the storefront's current naming does not indicate a new edition or a rebrand of the original game.

That content model makes the Deluxe package most attractive to collectors and players who want the broadest version of the original bike roster. It does not turn RIDE into a live-service game, and its add-ons primarily expand the garage rather than adding a separate story mode.

Multiplayer And PC Features

RIDE supports single-player racing, two-player split-screen, and online competition. The online Quick Race and Championship modes support up to 12 human riders, while leaderboards give Time Trial runs a competitive purpose even when no opponents are physically on the circuit.

On PC, the game is distributed through Steam and includes Steam Cloud, achievements, trading cards, Family Sharing, and Remote Play Together. The current platform data identifies partial controller support, so a gamepad is supported but should not be assumed to provide the same plug-and-play coverage as a title marked with full controller support.

No separate publisher launcher or anti-cheat system is identified in the current Steam listing. The available interface, audio, and subtitle languages include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, Turkish, and Traditional Chinese.

Who Should Play RIDE?

RIDE is a good fit for players who enjoy bike collecting, mechanical upgrades, time trials, and a career structure built around reputation. It offers enough assists for newcomers but leaves room for riders who want to tune suspension, gearing, traction control, and braking behavior manually.

It is less suitable for someone looking for licensed Grand Prix rules, a modern championship roster, or a large open world. The focus is on production and historic motorcycles, event variety, and garage progression. Players seeking newer official motorcycle racing with a deeper contemporary championship structure may prefer licensed motorcycle racing simulations such as MotoGP 26.

Similar Motorcycle Racing Games On PC

The closest comparison is within Milestone's own motorcycle catalog. MotoGP-style games prioritize official championship competition, while RIDE gives more attention to a large multi-category bike collection and road-based event variety.

For a very different interpretation of two-wheel racing, physics-driven motorbike challenges like Trials Rising trade RIDE's cornering and setup work for obstacle courses, balance control, stunt physics, and fast retry-based progression. The mechanical overlap is the importance of throttle, weight, and momentum, but the intended play styles are not the same.

RIDE Digital Deluxe Edition FAQ

Is RIDE Digital Deluxe Edition still the current Steam name?

No. The current Steam storefront uses the shorter name RIDE. Digital Deluxe Edition is the legacy package name associated with the original game's expanded bundle of DLC and digital extras.

What does the legacy Deluxe package include?

It combines the base game with the Season Pass, two Yamaha bike add-ons, two Top Bikes packs, the soundtrack, and a making-of publication.

Does RIDE support split-screen multiplayer on PC?

Yes. The game includes two-player split-screen, as well as online Quick Race and Championship modes for up to 12 human riders.

Is RIDE a full motorcycle simulation?

RIDE is best described as a motorcycle racing game with simulation elements. It models bike-specific behavior and offers detailed tuning, but it also includes substantial riding aids, rewind functionality, and accessible event options.

Does RIDE have controller support on PC?

Steam lists the game with partial controller support. A controller can be used, but players should expect to check configuration and input coverage rather than assume every menu and function is fully optimized for gamepad play.

What is the real gameplay loop?

You select an event, learn its circuit, manage braking and lean angles, earn reputation, buy or improve motorcycles, adjust setups, and return to tougher festivals. Time Trial leaderboards and multiplayer provide additional mastery loops after the World Tour progression.
