You play as Henry, a blacksmith's son caught in a civil war. No chosen one nonsense here. You learn by doing - swing a sword enough, you get better at swords. Talk to people, your speech improves. It's that simple. And that brutal.

Combat is directional. You pick an angle, you swing. So does your enemy. Block, parry, riposte. One mistake and you're bleeding out. I died. A lot. But every death taught me something. The world doesn't scale to your level - a bandit in plate armor will wreck you early on. Run away. Live to fight another day.

There's crafting too. Alchemy isn't a menu - you follow a recipe, add ingredients, watch the sand timer. It's oddly satisfying. Smithing? Yeah, you actually hammer the metal. Trust me on this, making your own sword feels different.
