Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition

Horizon Zero Dawn is an action game with TPP view, RPG elements and open world, set in a distant post-apocalyptic future, in which the world is overrun by mechanical creatures. The production debuted as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but after more than three years it was released on PC (in the Complete Edition with Frozen Wilds add-on). The item is a work of Dutch studio Guerrilla Games, known primarily from the Killzone series of shooters.

Story

The action of HZD takes place in a time when mankind's best years are long behind us. Our civilization has fallen, and people unaware of their roots gather in tribes inhabiting the wilderness of the new world. However, not everything on the planet has regressed - the superior role in the environment has been taken by machines, which in unexplained circumstances have evolved into intelligent "animals". The player takes on the role of Aloy - a young, stubborn and warlike girl who wants to explore the secrets of the old civilization while trying to learn about her own origins.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in an open world. It's a vast and diverse land, including various wilderness areas, camps and villages of different tribes, as well as ruins left after an ancient civilization. The place is also full of dangers in the form of the mechanical creatures mentioned above. Fortunately, Aloy excels in combat and is equipped with weapons created from parts of the defeated machines - we're talking about futuristic bows, rope throwers and other ranged weapons. Thanks to this, even the largest beasts, such as the Tyrannosaur-like Gromosaurus, are no longer a threat to the heroine.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a mix between an action adventure and a stealth game (so the same problems can be solved in different ways), and the whole thing is complemented by RPG elements, including character development, interaction with NPCs and accepting and completing tasks. There's also collecting items and using them in crafting, which is mainly used to construct ammunition, traps and potions.
PS4 Pro and PC

Horizon Zero Dawn can boast an impressive audiovisual setting, which consists of detailed graphics and sound design that builds a mystical atmosphere. On PlayStation 4, the work of the Guerrilla Games studio offers smooth animation at 30 frames per second and 1080p image resolution, as well as makes use of HDR technology. The title also takes advantage of the additional capabilities of the PlayStation 4 Pro console, on which it runs in 4K resolution.

The PC version also supports native 4K resolution, and receives a number of additional graphical enhancements: support for ultra-wide monitors, improved reflections and dynamic vegetation, the ability to modify graphics options, a lifted FPS limit, and a built-in benchmark. The game has also been adapted for mouse and keyboard control.
