Context and Plot
Our interdimensional odyssey in the context of the series is like a breath of fresh air. Ratchet and Clank, the heroes from the starry expanses, are separated and forced to traverse the twisted and unpredictable tracks of alternative realities. After an unfortunate incident with an interdimensional travel device, our dynamic duo lands in a dystopia ruled by Doctor Nefarious, where they meet Rivet - a Lombax warrior fighting against the mad dictator.
Game Mechanics
The gameplay in Rift Apart is consistent with the series' tradition. However, the third-person shooter with platform elements has been enriched with new features. Above all, the heroes' mobility reaches a new level - double jumps, wall running, or teleportation between dimensions are just some of the innovations that bring dynamics to the confrontations with opponents.
Graphics and Sound
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a real feast for the eyes and ears. The worlds are incredibly detailed, and the graphics resemble an animated movie. 3D audio further enhances immersion, and the use of DualSense controller's adaptive triggers allows for fully realistic sensations.
