Game Description
Welcome to ParadiZe is a PC isometric zombie survival action RPG from EKO Software and Nacon. Its central idea is simple but unusual: use the Zombot Hacking Helmet to capture zombies, then make them fight, gather resources, work around your settlement, and protect your camp while you search the open world for a safer future.
Zombie control meets isometric survival
ParadiZe uses a 3/4-overhead perspective for exploration and combat. You move through wooded areas, hostile zones, and resource-rich locations while completing objectives, collecting materials, fighting roaming undead, and returning to your settlement to improve your equipment and defenses.
The main gameplay loop combines real-time melee and ranged combat with crafting and light settlement management. Weapons include improvised and crafted options such as bows, spears, air-powered guns, baseball bats, and chainsaws. Encounters are direct and hectic, with weakened enemies vulnerable to violent finishing attacks.
Its defining system is the Zombot companion. Captured zombies can accompany you during expeditions, attack hostile creatures, assist with practical jobs, and support your survival routine. The concept changes the usual zombie power fantasy: the undead are not only a threat but also a resource that can be redirected toward exploration, labor, and defense.
Building a working apocalypse camp
Welcome to ParadiZe gives the player a home base that functions as more than a save point. You gather materials, craft weapons and survival supplies, develop the settlement, and assign useful tasks to controlled zombies. Farming and resource production help support longer trips away from camp.
The settlement systems are more focused than those of a dedicated colony simulator. The emphasis is on keeping your character equipped, unlocking useful improvements, and turning captured zombies into practical support rather than designing a highly complex production network.
Progression also includes a character skill tree, equipment upgrades, and crafting choices that influence how you approach combat. Players can invest in a more aggressive fighting style, improve survivability, or build toward a more efficient scavenging and support setup.
Exploration, quests, and combat progression
The world is structured around exploration and objectives rather than a pure endless survival sandbox. You travel between areas, search for supplies, interact with survivors, complete quests, and unlock access to new parts of the setting. Fast travel helps reduce unnecessary backtracking once the relevant points are available.
Combat remains the most frequent activity. Groups of zombies can surround you quickly, so positioning, weapon choice, healing items, and the timing of your Zombot’s intervention all matter. The game is not built around stealth or tactical turn-based encounters; it is an action-focused survival RPG with crafting and base-building layers.
Players coming from EKO Software’s earlier survival design may recognize the scavenging-and-crafting foundation found in isometric zombie survival games like How to Survive, although ParadiZe expands that formula with controllable undead workers and a larger settlement focus.
Solo play and cooperative modes
Welcome to ParadiZe supports single-player, two-player local co-op, and online co-op for up to four players. Local multiplayer uses shared or split-screen play, while online sessions allow a larger group to explore and fight together.
Co-op is useful because players can divide responsibilities during expeditions. One survivor can focus on close combat while another gathers materials, manages objectives, or supports the group with ranged attacks and a Zombot companion. The shared progression and survival structure make it a better fit for coordinated PvE play than for competitive multiplayer.
Players seeking a more community-management-heavy zombie experience may also appreciate the broader survivor and base-management loop of open-world zombie survival games such as State of Decay 2. ParadiZe is more compact and action-driven, while State of Decay 2 places greater weight on survivor relationships, community risk, and long-term strategic decisions.
PC features, languages, and storefront status
There is no verified PC rebrand currently replacing the title. The current publisher and Steam listings continue to use Welcome to ParadiZe, so searches for the original title lead to the active PC product rather than a renamed successor or definitive edition.
The PC version is distributed through Steam and includes Steam Cloud, achievements, Family Sharing, and Steam Remote Play Together. Controller support is officially confirmed for Xbox and PlayStation 5 controllers, which suits the game’s movement, combat, and local co-op design.
Interface and subtitle localization covers English, French, Italian, German, Spanish from Spain, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Dutch. English is the listed full-audio language on the main PC storefront information.
The game is sold as a paid base product rather than a free-to-play title. Current PC edition information also lists bundles containing the base game alongside optional content such as the Archeology Quest, ParadiZe Zombot Skin, Phantasm Cosmetic Pack, Holidays Cosmetic Pack, Dark Fantasy Cosmetic Pack, and Uniforms Cosmetic Pack. These additions are primarily bonus quests and cosmetics rather than separate campaign systems.
Who should play Welcome to ParadiZe?
ParadiZe is a good match for PC players who want a light-hearted zombie setting, accessible action combat, crafting, local co-op, and a companion system that directly affects both combat and settlement work. Its strongest hook is the ability to capture zombies and use them as fighters, workers, and camp support.
It is less suitable for players looking for a deep colony simulator, highly complex survival needs, competitive multiplayer, or a precision-focused action RPG. The base-building layer supports the adventure, but the game’s identity remains rooted in exploration, resource collection, questing, and fighting through zombie groups.
The tone is also deliberately comic and exaggerated. Blood and gore are present, but the setting treats the apocalypse with dark humor instead of sustained horror. That makes it closer to an irreverent survival-action game than a serious survival simulator.
