What is Braid Anniversary Edition
Each of Braid's six worlds has its own time rules. One lets you rewind everything. Another has objects that stay frozen while everything else moves. One mirrors time forward and backward. It gets wild. You'll collect jigsaw pieces across these worlds, dodging spikes and enemies along the way.
The story unfolds through text snippets and painted backgrounds, leaving you to connect dots without hand-holding. It's ambiguous. Not gonna lie - you'll think about it long after quitting.
This remaster bumps visuals up to 4K resolution, making the painterly watercolor look pop even more on modern screens. Audio got remixed too. But the highlight is over 15 hours of developer commentary from Jonathan Blow, exploring the game's design and philosophy in depth.
