Routine doesn’t drown you in lore. Instead, it feeds you small clues while you wander through labs, quarters, and forgotten supply rooms. Need a challenge? You got it. The game trusts you to piece things together. I kind of appreciated that. No hand holding.

Your main tool is the CAT device. It looks simple, like something you’d find in a repair kit. But it saves your life more often than you’d expect. Just don’t rely on it too much. Routine reminds you quickly that fighting is risky. Sneaking feels smarter.

I tried running once. Spoiler: not a great idea. The base isn’t built for sprinting. Tight corners. Low light. Shadows everywhere. You get the idea.
