Fix for +20 threads CPUs and old 2017-2020 installers
⚠️ Important Notice About Some Installers
First of all, not every game installer has this issue. It may affect around 10–20% of installers, especially older ones released between 2017 and 2020 (possibly 100–200 of them). It’s hard to give an exact number right now. Any major or popular installers that are affected will be re-uploaded with fixes in the coming months — you'll recognize them by “V2” in the link name.
🧠 Issues on High-End CPUs
If you’re using a powerful CPU like Intel i9-13900K or AMD 9950X, and you notice strange behavior during installation, like:
Installer gets stuck at 0% for more than 10–30 seconds
Installer closes suddenly without any error (can happen at 1% or 99%)
Error appears: "Not enough memory! Unarc.dll returned an error code -5"
These are known issues with some older installers on multi-threaded CPUs.
🛠️ Quick Fix (Takes Less Than 1 Minute)
Press Windows Key + R, type msconfig, and press Enter
(or search for “msconfig” in the Start Menu)Go to the Boot tab
Click Advanced Options
Check Number of processors and choose 8 or 16
Click OK, then Apply, and restart your PC
💡 This limits the number of CPU threads temporarily and helps the installer work properly.
🔁 After Installation
Once the game is installed:
Repeat the steps above
Uncheck “Number of processors” to return to the original setting
Restart your PC again to get back full performance
📌 Final Notes
We don’t know exactly which CPU models are affected, but if you see one of the issues listed above, lowering the CPU thread count will likely fix it.
