How FrostBound Plays
FrostBound is not about placing towers and forgetting them. You place a unit, it attacks, then it retreats from the cold. You reposition. You rebuild. The leftmost line is sacred - if something breaks through there, it's over. Trust me on this.
With over 500 cards in the pool, every run feels different. You might lean into one faction's strengths or mix two for weird synergies. Not gonna lie, some combinations are a disaster. But when they click? That's the good stuff. The elite card system lets you grow stronger inside a battle, not just between runs. So even when a wave gets ugly, your options can still open up.
Four factions, 10 starting heroes with signature skills, 70+ enemies, and 100 upgradable buildings keep things fresh. The cold forces you to adapt every turn. There's no single perfect strategy. Sometimes you just stare at the board and hope. The setting echoes the brutal choices in Frostpunk 2, with a mysterious old man and twisted foes hiding secrets in the ice.
