How Cairn Climbing Works
Climbing in Cairn is not a quicktime event. You control each hand and foot placement. Posture and balance are real. Your effort indicator climbs as you push harder. Push too far, and you fall. Trust me on this.
Route choice is yours. You stand at the base, study the face, pick your line. Then you commit. Going back costs supplies. Yeah, that happens.
You manage pitons, chalk, finger tape, food, water, medicine. Set up bivouacs to recover. It's a loop: climb, spend, rest, climb again. The mountain is a system.
Available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Audio is in English.
Expedition mode lets you climb as Marco. Choose your style - alpine, free solo. Compare results with others. It's still singleplayer, but you see how you measure up.
