You travel between island fragments by boat. Each area is a new puzzle. The environment itself is the obstacle. You need to find the way forward while keeping quiet. The enemies are not the type you fight. You hide. You wait. You slip past when they look away. I died. A lot. Especially when I got greedy and thought I could make it across that open patch.

The game supports solo play, but co-op changes the feel. Online or split-screen, the shared camera forces you and a partner to agree on where to look. Sometimes you both want different things. The camera picks one. It adds pressure when something is nearby and one of you is about to panic. Easy? Not really. But that is why it works.

Reanimal draws its visual style from the same well as Little Nightmares - wrong proportions, masked faces, darkness everywhere. The monsters are not random; they come from the children's past.
