How Grime II Plays
Combat is fast. Parry, counter, absorb. That's the loop. But the real trick is what comes after - you take enemy forms and turn them into molds. These give you special attacks, projectiles, stuns, even transformations. Throw a weakling into a crowd. Launch a spike. Turn into something nasty.
Exploration works the same way. Some areas stay locked until you absorb the right form. So you backtrack, find secrets, open shortcuts. Classic metroidvania loop, but form-stealing gives it a twist. The first Grime started this. The sequel pushes harder. If you liked Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse, this scratches a similar itch.
Trust me on this - the bosses will test you. One parry can change everything. Sometimes you just stand there and stare at a room, wondering which enemy holds the key you need.
