How Dusk Diver Plays
Combat stays simple. Light and heavy attacks build combos. Charge a special move as you fight well. The Guardian Support System lets you summon allies. More unlock over time. Honestly? It keeps things fresh without overcomplicating them.
The game splits into two parts. Day-to-day life in Ximending - talk to NPCs, take quests, shop. Then dive into Youshanding, the hidden realm full of Phantoms. The contrast works. I died. A lot. Especially before finding the right Guardian.
Story focuses on Yumo as protector. Deities from another world ask her to guard against invasion. Simple setup, fits the urban fantasy tone. Voice acting in Japanese and Mandarin helps the cast feel alive. Nice touch.

If you want a compact action game with anime flair and a real Taipei setting, this one delivers. Roam Ximending, beat up Phantoms, call Guardians. Dusk Diver sticks to its beat 'em up roots and does it well.
