Sheltered Gameplay - What You Do

Resource management is the core. Food, water, shelter integrity - ignore any of these and things fall apart fast. Each family member has unique traits. One might be good at scavenging, another at fighting. You'll send them out to explore abandoned buildings and fight mutated creatures. I died. A lot. The first time a raider showed up at my door, I panicked.
