How Windbound Plays

Windbound mixes survival, exploration, and light RPG elements. You start on a tiny island. Punch trees, gather stones, craft a basic axe. Then build a raft. Simple, right? Wrong.

The sea is brutal. Storms roll in without warning. Your boat can capsize. I died. A lot. But that's the roguelike DNA - respawn, and the island layout has changed. Procedural generation keeps things fresh.

Combat is basic but satisfying. Boars, crabs, bigger things later. Crafting isn't deep but gets the job done. Upgrade your boat, make better tools, push into new areas. Honestly? The sailing feels great. That wind in your sails? Yeah, that's the hook.

If you like games like stranded or want something like Force of Nature, Windbound scratches that itch. It's not perfect - combat can be clunky, story is thin. But for a few hours of sea-faring survival? Windbound delivers.
