You're a criminal on death row. The choice is simple: die, or become a Marked Inquisitor. Welcome to Salt and Sacrifice. Yeah, that happens. Suddenly you're hunting mages through haunted temples and treacherous swamps. The world of Alterstone doesn't care about your backstory.
This is side-scrolling action with RPG depth. You swing swords, shoot bows, and use grappling hooks because why not? Eight classes to pick. Co-op for when solo gets too brutal. Honestly? It gets brutal fast.

Inside Salt and Sacrifice
You hunt mages. That's the job. But these aren't pushovers. Each mage fights differently, summons monsters, and laughs while doing it. I died. A lot. Over 100 enemies inspired by Scandinavian folklore keep things interesting. Sometimes you just stand there and stare at the creepy art style.
Character creation lets you pick from eight classes. Want to tank hits? Go heavy. Prefer speed? Light class works. You craft runes to unlock abilities. The Pardoner's Vale is your safe spot where friendly Inquisitors hang out. Easy? Not really. But satisfying when you finally take down that smug mage.
Co-op works locally or online. Split-screen for the old-school feel. Available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese-Brazil, Japanese, Korean, Chinese.
This game scratches that soulslike itch without needing a full 3D world. If you liked Salt and Sanctuary or wanted something tougher than Mortal Shell, Salt and Sacrifice delivers. Grab it. Those mages aren't going to hunt themselves.
