Your choices affect relationships and which Digimon form you unlock. Not gonna lie, I restarted twice just to see what happens if you side with the grumpy one.
The visual novel segments are hand-drawn and gorgeous. Then the camera pulls back for 3D battles with particle effects and flashy attacks. It's like two games in one. You explore environments for items and clues, then fight for survival. The energy point system makes you think twice before every move.
