Grounded

Grounded is a survival action game focused on cooperative mode. The production was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, a studio known for such titles as The Outer Worlds, Fallout: New Vegas and the Pillars of Eternity series.

Mechanics

In Grounded, player characters are reduced to the size of ants and must survive in the dangerous realities of the garden of a sleepy American suburb. Tasks that are simple for a standard-sized human become a real challenge for the game's protagonists. During the game they are forced to collect raw materials, construct items and build a base using a variety of everyday objects.

During the gameplay we can choose between first- and third-person view. The game world is inhabited by various aggressive creatures (such as spiders or ants), which hunt players. We deal with enemies with the help of homemade primitive weapons, such as spears or bows. You can also create armor and trampolines that allow you to travel faster through locations.

The game boasts extensive artificial intelligence modules, reproducing the behavior of animals known from reality. For example, ants function as colonies. Scouts, upon finding something of interest (such as us), leave pheromones that allow other ants to reach the same place or warn them of play from players. In addition, our development does not go unnoticed and expansion will sooner or later bring us the wrath of the local fauna.

The fun is diversified by the technology tree. In it we slowly unlock better and better items, weapons and structures, making it easier to deal with more and more serious threats. In addition, in addition to the typical sandbox gameplay, there are also many story missions.

Technical issues

In Grounded we can play alone or in co-op mode for up to four people.
