What is Blacktail
You explore a handcrafted forest that feels alive. Too alive. Combat mixes ranged bow shots with a magical gauntlet. Phantoms hold fragments of Yaga's past - defeat them to unlock memories in side-scroll sequences. The morality system? It changes everything. Help spirits or curse them. Save the forest or burn it down. Your abilities shift based on choices. Not gonna lie, I restarted twice just to see what happens if you go full villain.
Crafting plays a big part. You collect materials for arrows and potions. Sometimes you just stand there in a clearing, staring at the sky. The visuals help - dense forests, crumbling huts, glowing spirits. Easy on the eyes, tough on the nerves. If you enjoyed choice-driven storytelling in games like Black Geyser Couriers of Darkness or Blackguards, you'll appreciate how Blacktail handles player decisions.
