Against the Storm Gameplay
Forget standard city builders. This one throws roguelike mechanics into the mix. Each map is procedurally generated. You never know what resources you'll find or what challenges await. The cycle of seasons keeps you on edge. Rainy seasons bring floods, dry seasons bring fires. Not gonna lie, I lost my first settlement to a drought. Rookie mistake.
You manage multiple races: humans, beavers, lizards, and more. Each has its own needs and bonuses. Balancing their happiness while gathering resources for the Smouldering City is no joke. Easy? Not really. But the meta-progression makes each failed run useful. You unlock blueprints, perks, and carry over resources to the next game. It's addictive in the best way.
The cartoon-style graphics are clear and functional. You never lose track of what's happening. For fans of Stonehearth or Floodland, this is right up your alley. Available in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Russian, and more.
If you like city builders but want something fresh, give this a shot. Against the Storm respects your time and rewards experimentation. I died. A lot. But I always wanted one more run.
