How Empire of the Ants Plays
You control a single ant but command hundreds. Build your colony from scratch - dig chambers, stockpile food, and train soldiers. The day-night cycle and shifting seasons force you to adapt. Winter means scarce resources. Summer brings new allies and enemies. Easy? Not really.
Combat is tactical. You can recruit rhino beetles for brute force or snails as mobile shields. Pheromone abilities let you mark targets or boost your troops. Form alliances with other forest creatures - but be careful. Trust me on this: some "friends" turn on you fast.
The campaign runs about 20 hours with a story inspired by Bernard Werber's novel. Multiplayer offers ranked 1v1 and free-for-all matches. Cross-platform support means you can challenge anyone. Available in English, Polish, German and other languages.
If you like games like Empires of the Undergrowth or Smalland Survive the Wilds, this fits right in.
Not gonna lie - controlling bugs with Unreal Engine 5 looks incredible. Leaves cast real shadows. Rain creates puddles. You stop and stare sometimes. It's weirdly beautiful.
This RTS demands patience and quick thinking. Perfect for strategy fans who want something different. Empire of the Ants is a tiny world with big challenges.
