How Onimusha 2 Plays

Combat lives and dies on timing. Fast slashes, a bow, even a rifle. Each weapon changes your rhythm. You collect red souls to power up, yellow to heal, blue for magic. Find five purple ones and you transform into a full Onimusha. Easy? Not really. You earn that power.

The Issen counter is the heart. Deflect at the last frame and everything slows down. Yeah, that never gets old. Allies from Imasho Town can join fights too. I ignored them once. Bad move. They save your hide more than you'd expect.

Between battles, you explore moody environments and trade gifts with characters. Their relationships affect the story slightly. Nothing forced. Just a nice layer on top of the demon-slaying. Available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Portuguese-Brazil, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese Simplified, and Chinese Traditional with English or Japanese audio.

The remaster adds a gallery of concept art, a full soundtrack, and Hell Mode if you enjoy pain. Honestly, the auto-save alone makes replaying older sections way less frustrating.
