How Transience Plays
You're not a soldier. You're an accountant-for-hire who is really good at staying alive. The NNCG "Eclipse" suit gives you Flash Pulse, distraction tools, and night vision. Use them wisely. The game shares a deliberate pace with Hail to the Rainbow, where strategy beats speed every time.
The NWS customization system lets you reshape weapons. Turn an SMG into an assault rifle. Push an AR toward DMR territory. Find stashes hidden around each mission for new parts. Easy? Not really. But when your silenced pistol clicks empty and three guards turn the corner, you'll be glad you planned ahead.
I died. A lot. The first time I tried the direct approach in mission 3, I lasted maybe 12 seconds. The second time, I used a ventilation shaft and never fired a shot. The game lets you choose - and punishes you if you pick wrong.
