What Nioh 3 Offers

The big shift here is the open field. You're not corridor-crawling between arenas anymore. You push into sprawling areas, spot a village in the distance, and decide if you're ready. Spoiler: you're never ready. But that's the point.

Combat splits into two styles. Samurai meets danger head-on - block, deflect, counter. Ninja dodges, clones itself with Mist, and strikes from angles the enemy didn't account for. You can switch mid-combo. Yeah, that happens. And it feels great.

Yokai are everywhere. They don't telegraph gently. One wrong read and you're back at the shrine, watching that loading screen again. I died. A lot. The Crucible mechanic pushes you further into risk for better rewards. Sometimes you just stand there and stare at a yokai's tells, waiting for the one opening you know is coming.

You can bring a friend. Co-op via Summon Visitor or Expeditions changes the dynamic. Alone it's tense. With backup it's chaotic. Both work.
