Game Description

Stellar Blade on PC is a third-person action RPG from SHIFT UP Corporation and PlayStation Publishing LLC, built around precise melee combat, exploration, and a science-fiction mystery. Older searches may still show its working title, Project EVE, but the current Steam and Epic Games Store identity is Stellar Blade. The PC edition combines the original campaign with expanded features, additional challenges, and a broad selection of optional cosmetic and crossover content.

The game follows EVE, a soldier sent from humanity's Colony to reclaim a ruined Earth from the hostile Naytiba. Its story moves between devastated cities, underground facilities, desert wastelands, and the human settlement of Xion. Stellar Blade is more structured than a pure open-world game, mixing linear story zones with larger areas containing side quests, collectibles, optional bosses, camps, and exploration rewards.

Combat Built Around Timing

Stellar Blade's central appeal is its timing-based melee combat. EVE uses the Blood Edge sword for fast combinations, charged attacks, aerial strikes, and finishers. Success depends less on repeatedly attacking than on reading enemy animations and choosing when to strike, block, parry, dodge, or reposition.

A successful Perfect Parry can weaken an enemy's balance and expose it to a devastating attack. Dodging at the correct moment can create an opening for a counter. These systems give ordinary encounters a deliberate rhythm, while bosses demand attention to attack patterns, spacing, delayed swings, and area attacks.

Combat also expands through Beta Skills, Burst Skills, and ranged options provided by EVE's drone. Beta Energy and Burst Energy are built through combat actions and spent on specialized attacks with different properties. Some abilities break defenses, interrupt attacks, control groups, or create safer openings against heavily armored targets.

Players who enjoy technical science-fiction action with weapon switching and existential storytelling may find a natural companion in post-apocalyptic android action RPGs such as NieR: Automata. The games share a fascination with ruined civilizations, but Stellar Blade places greater emphasis on parrying, guard breaks, and direct boss encounters.

Progression, Exploration, and EVE's Toolkit

Progression is divided between EVE's skill trees, equipment, permanent upgrades, and consumable resources. Skill points unlock new attacks and extensions, while Body Cores and Beta Cores improve fundamental health and energy capacity. This creates a clear sense of growth without turning the game into a loot-driven RPG.

The equipment system uses Exospines and Gear to adjust EVE's strengths. Exospines provide broader build-defining effects, while Gear pieces can improve attack power, critical performance, shield damage, energy generation, or defensive resilience. The best setup depends on whether you prefer aggressive combos, safer defense, ranged support, or stronger special abilities.

EVE's drone adds more than a simple ranged attack. It can scan areas, interact with devices, open environmental paths, and support combat with different ammunition types. Certain sequences temporarily shift the focus away from swordplay and ask you to use the drone to solve traversal or combat problems.

Exploration rewards patience. Camps provide rest points, fast travel access, equipment management, and skill development, while side content can reveal character stories, upgrade materials, cosmetics, and additional lore. Fishing, collectible cans, bulletin board requests, and hidden containers give the larger zones their own completion loops rather than treating them as corridors between missions.

Campaign Structure and Replay Value

The main campaign alternates between focused narrative chapters and more open regions. Linear areas are designed around set-piece encounters, environmental hazards, and boss progression. Open zones such as the wastelands offer more freedom, optional objectives, traversal routes, and side quests that can change what you discover before returning to the central story.

Stellar Blade includes multiple endings, and important choices or optional relationship content can affect the route available near the conclusion. The game therefore rewards players who investigate side content instead of rushing directly from one main objective to the next.

After completing the campaign, New Game Plus carries progression into another playthrough and adds new upgrade possibilities, equipment variations, cosmetics, and additional challenges. It is not a separate story campaign, but it gives experienced players a reason to revisit the world with a more complete combat toolkit.

For players who want concentrated combat rather than another full story run, Boss Challenge Mode provides a dedicated way to practice and replay major encounters. This makes Stellar Blade's endgame more useful for mastery than a simple completion screen, particularly for players who want to refine parry timing, optimize equipment, or test advanced skills.

PC Edition Features and Content Model

Stellar Blade is a paid single-player release on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The standard edition contains the core game, while the storefronts also list a Complete Edition that packages the base experience with additional content. Optional items include the Deluxe Pack, the NieR:Automata crossover, the GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE crossover, and further costume-focused add-ons.

The PC version supports keyboard and mouse as well as controllers, with customizable controls for both input methods. Compatible DualSense controllers can provide haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support. The port also includes ultrawide display support, high-resolution texture options, uncapped frame-rate settings, and modern image reconstruction and frame-generation technologies.

Steam lists single-player functionality, achievements, trading cards, Steam Cloud, HDR support, and Family Sharing. It also identifies Denuvo Anti-Tamper as third-party DRM. Epic Games Store lists cloud saves, controller support, achievements, and single-player functionality for its edition.

Localization is unusually broad for a single-player action game. PC storefront listings include interface and subtitle support for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Arabic, Dutch, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Nordic languages, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Polish, with full audio available in a smaller group of major languages.

Who Should Play Stellar Blade?

Stellar Blade is a strong fit for players who want fast boss-focused combat, a cinematic third-person presentation, and a progression system that supports experimentation without relying on randomized loot. It is especially well suited to players who enjoy learning enemy patterns, collecting cosmetic rewards, and revisiting fights to improve their execution.

The game is less suitable if you are looking for online co-op, competitive multiplayer, procedural worlds, or a fully open-ended role-playing sandbox. Its side quests can vary in complexity, and the narrative mixes serious post-apocalyptic themes with stylized character design and mature content. The combat is approachable through difficulty options and assists, but its most demanding encounters still expect careful observation.

Players who prefer stylish character-action systems and expressive combo scoring may also enjoy technical hack-and-slash combat in Devil May Cry 5. That series is more focused on combo creativity and mission rankings, while Stellar Blade gives more space to exploration, equipment tuning, story choices, and survival against carefully scripted bosses.

Stellar Blade FAQ

No. Stellar Blade is the current storefront name on PC. Project EVE was the earlier working title, so it may still appear in older articles, videos, forum posts, or search results.

Is Stellar Blade a single-player game?

Yes. The PC editions are built around a single-player campaign and do not list an online co-op story mode, split-screen multiplayer, or competitive multiplayer component.

What is included in the Complete Edition?

The Complete Edition combines the base game with additional cosmetic and crossover content listed by the PC storefronts. Depending on the current store listing and region, this can include the Deluxe Pack, the NieR:Automata and NIKKE crossover content, and other costume or accessory packs.

Does Stellar Blade have New Game Plus?

Yes. New Game Plus lets EVE carry important progress into a new campaign and adds further upgrades, equipment variations, outfits, and combat challenges. It is designed for replay and mastery rather than a separate multiplayer mode.

Does the PC version support controllers?

Yes. Stellar Blade supports controller play and customizable keyboard-and-mouse controls. DualSense players can use supported haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, while the PC version also includes ultrawide display support and other platform-specific presentation options.

Does Stellar Blade have selectable difficulty and accessibility options?

Yes. Players can adjust difficulty and use options such as Action Assist, auto-lock behavior, ranged aim correction, simplified quick-time events, subtitle adjustments, high-contrast settings, camera controls, and fishing control alternatives. It remains the hypervisor version even with the crack... so hypervisor files or DLLs will still be present in the folder; does this still pose a risk?

The threat only exists when you run VBS.cmd; if it is not running, your system's security settings will be restored after you restart the system.

The game works, and some people will make use of it. It’s best to use a closed system dedicated only to this purpose. Unfortunately, for a proper crack, you still have to wait until the developers remove the Denuvo protection.
