How Darwins Paradox Plays
Swim. Crawl. Hide. Darwin is not your typical hero. He is an octopus, and the game actually uses that. You camouflage to avoid patrols, grab objects with your tentacles, and solve puzzles that require a bit of thinking. Not gonna lie - I died a few times forgetting I could hide. Easy? Not really.
The world is a mix of junkyards, factories, and industrial spaces. The contrast between a soft sea creature and cold machinery sets the tone. You explore, sneak, and pull levers. The story starts simple - escape to the ocean - but grows into something larger. Fans of FAR: Changing Tides or Animal Well will recognize the vibe.
Darwin can swim through water sections, use camouflage for stealth, and grab objects with his tentacles. Pulling switches, moving obstacles, and finding paths forward are all part of the deal. The pacing shifts between stealth, traversal, and puzzle-solving. Nothing overstays its welcome.
If you like platformers where the main character is not a human with a sword, Darwins Paradox offers something fresh. The octopus mechanics shape every encounter. Give it a try.
