The biggest fights happen on tight battlefields full of destructible terrain, firing lanes, and risky choke points. Easy? Not really. You constantly decide whether to hold a position or push forward before enemy reinforcements arrive. Environmental mechanics change how every encounter plays out.

The campaign map adds another layer. You capture regions across the planet, defend important zones, and manage resources needed to strengthen your armies. Sometimes you just stand there and stare. One province falls and suddenly your whole strategy starts collapsing from the edges. Planet control matters almost as much as the combat itself.

Faustinius returns with his Tech-Priests, while Vargard Nefershah leads the awakening Necron dynasty. Their campaigns tell the same war from different sides, and the tone shifts depending on who you choose. I died. A lot. Mostly because I underestimated Necron units hiding behind ruined structures before they rushed my flank. Two campaigns keep the pacing fresh.
