Total War: WARHAMMER III - Factions and Gameplay

You manage two levels. Armies march on the campaign map. Then battles play out in real time. Not in the mood for micro? Auto-resolve exists. But the fun is in those big clashes - frontline buckling, reserves sliding in at the last second. Yeah, that happens.

New factions land in the spotlight. Kislev calls on its gods for help. Grand Cathay holds the eastern line. And Chaos? Everywhere. You can lead Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, or Daemons of Chaos. Each plays completely differently. Slaanesh seduces opponents. Nurgle buildings grow and die over time. Trust me on this - your first Slaanesh campaign will go sideways. It is worth it.

The story kicks off when Ursun, the bear-god of Kislev, is captured and wounded. A race begins. Not everyone wants to save him. Some want him dead. Others want the power tied to him. Portals open to the Chaos Realms every few turns - step through and face multi-stage demon fights with temporary defenses and waves of enemies. You build towers and barricades while it burns. Feels scrappy.

Diplomacy got upgrades too. You can see which nations accept deals, auto-balance offers, borrow armies from allies. If you played Total War: WARHAMMER II or the earlier Total War: WARHAMMER, this system actually makes alliances useful. I died a lot learning the Chaos Realms mechanic. You will too.

Available in English, Polish, German and other languages. Singleplayer or multiplayer with online and LAN options.
