You are Abe. A Mudokan. A nobody. You work at RuptureFarms, a meat processing plant run by the greedy Glukkons. Then you overhear their new business plan: turn the entire Mudokan workforce into Tasty Treats. That includes you. Time to run.

No weapons. No special powers. Just your wits, a few wild friends, and the ability to possess Slig guards. Abe Is Back - What Makes This Remake Tick

This is not a simple port. The developers rebuilt everything from scratch. 2.5D visuals give the world depth while keeping the original 2D gameplay. You sneak, jump, climb, and possess enemies to bypass traps and security. Easy? Not really. One alarm and it is game over.

You rescue Mudokons along the way. Each saved friend counts towards the ending. I died. A lot. But that is part of the charm. The puzzles require patience and sometimes trial-and-error. The voice acting? Pure Oddworld weirdness. Abe mumbles, farts, and calls out "Hello?" every few steps. You will laugh.
