Think of Xenoblade Chronicles X as a sci-fi sandbox where you can walk, drive, and fly across miles of alien terrain. You explore five distinct continents on Mira, each packed with unique wildlife and secrets. Combat happens in real time. You control one character while your AI teammates support you. You can switch between party members on the fly. Use standard attacks, special arts, and items to cripple enemies. Easy? Not really. Some bosses will stomp you into the dirt.

The mechs, called Skells, are the real stars. You earn one around chapter six. Then you can transform it into a vehicle for faster travel or a bipedal war machine for combat. Customize its weapons and colors. Trust me on this, flying a giant robot across a purple jungle never gets old.
