Raft

Raft is a survival game developed by a small, independent studio Redbeet Interactive, in cooperation with Axalot Games (authors of Scrap Mechanic). The title appeared on the PC platform, and began its life as a free project of three students. Due to the great popularity of their work, the authors decided to create its expanded, commercial version.

Mechanics

In Raft, released on the PC platform, the action was shown from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game, the player becomes a castaway who wakes up on a small raft drifting on the ocean, equipped only with a plastic hook. In order to survive, he has to, first of all, find something to eat and drink, and then get the raw materials needed to expand his wooden shelter.

Thanks to a crafting system and resources obtained from trash floating on the water's surface and items found on the bottom or abandoned on any of the islands you encounter, over time the raft transforms into a real base, with more and more advanced tools at your disposal.

While diving in search of useful things, however, you should be on your guard, because the protagonist may fall prey to one of the sea predators, led by bloodthirsty sharks. Fortunately, the protagonist can create weapons for himself, such as a harpoon.

Game modes

In addition to the single player mode, Raft also has a multiplayer variant of the game, based on cooperation with other players.

Three-dimensional graphics of Raft released for PC platform are kept in cartoon style.
