Inside Broken Sword 5

You play as both George and Nico. They take turns depending on the scene. It's third-person, 2D, hand-drawn backgrounds. Yeah, that happens in these games - you click everywhere until something works. Honestly? Sometimes you just stand there and stare at a locked door wondering what you missed.

Quick decisions matter here. Move too slow and you might trigger a death scene. The director's cut tones those down, but still. Easy? Not really. You'll die a few times learning the ropes.

The puzzles are clever. One minute you're decoding a medallion, the next you're sneaking into a gallery. Locations go from Paris to Russia, all hand-painted. Available in English, Polish, German and other languages - interface and subtitles cover seven languages, audio in five.

I died. A lot. Especially when a mummy showed up out of nowhere. Trust me on this: always check for hidden doors before walking into a room. Lesson learned.

If you love old-school adventures with a good story, this one's for you. Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse delivers laughs, scares, and brain-teasers in equal measure.
