What Makes Of Ash and Steel Tick
Combat here is not about mashing buttons. You watch, wait, and pick your moment. I tried rushing in once. It didn't end well. Three combat stances change everything - heavy, balanced, or quick. Stamina matters more than your health bar sometimes.
The island breathes. Weather shifts mid-journey. NPCs react to what you wear and how you act. Early on they look down on you. Later they nod. It's subtle but it works. If you enjoyed exploring Hell is Us or unraveling the mysteries of Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon, this world will keep you busy.
You can hunt, fish, forge, or fight. The skill tree splits into survival, crafting, and warfare. Your build reflects how you actually play. I died. A lot. But every death taught me something new about the island.

Of Ash and Steel doesn't rush you. It challenges you. And if you stay long enough, the island becomes a place you want to understand, not just complete. That's what hooked me the most.
