The Niffelheim is a survival game and naturally combines setting that is being taken in an old Norse myth; the game is being played by a warrior within which after diminishing the battle it ends him up in the cruel land instead of Ashgard. Since you are being abandoned in a cruel land then your only companion will be the Moon, Ravens Hoog, strange bereavement priests, stranger, and monster that will haunt the night. 

Basically, in order for you to win the game then you must defeat the strongest character out from the mentioned characters to rebuild your portal to the Ashgard and claim your stand to be part of the equitable place. As such, the game has actually revolved for you to gather the possessions, improve the quality of your character and to build your base.

Technically, your primary objective of the game is to gather mystic items that you will bring to Ashgard; if you do these, then you will be identified as the winner of the game. Undeniably, the game has an impressive graphics and unpredictably imparted a good screen play however the steep repetitiveness of the game restraints it to just basically survival. Hence, you have to defeat the characters to claim your spot in Ashgard.
