Schedule I is an Early Access PC simulation set in the fictional west-coast city of Hyland Point. You roll in as a small-time drug dealer with no cash, no product, and no connections. Your job is simple to describe and hard to pull off: build an empire from nothing, keep customers happy, and stay alive while law enforcement and cartel rivals tighten the net.
If the title sounds vague, here is the quick clarification: Schedule I is about producing and distributing illegal substances, managing your operation, and dealing with the consequences. It is not a story about medicine or legal trade - it is a crime-sim premise, played from either first-person (FPP) or third-person (TPP) view.
What you do in Schedule I
You spend most of your time balancing three pressures: production, distribution, and survival. Make product, get it to buyers, then use the money to scale up. Mess up the rhythm and things spiral fast. Run short on ingredients? No stock. Get sloppy with deliveries? No cash flow. Draw too much attention? Now you have bigger problems than your profit margin.
Production: recipes, ingredients, and experimentation
You produce drugs yourself, using ingredients sourced from suppliers or from plants you grow and maintain. The process leans into hands-on routines. You can follow known recipes carefully, or experiment to create your own variants. That choice matters because different products and variants exist, each with its own production process and potential special properties.
Distribution: moving through Hyland Point
Once you have product, you still have to get it into customers’ hands. You move around Hyland Point on foot, by skateboard, or by car. Early on, you are the delivery system. Later, you can hire dealers to take over parts of distribution. It is the classic moment where you ask yourself: do you want to keep doing every run personally, or start trusting other people with your income?
Growing the business: properties, staff, and automation
Money is not just a score counter. You reinvest it. You can purchase new properties and hire employees to expand the scope and scale of your operation. You also work with suppliers to build a production and distribution chain that can become fully automated. It is the satisfying kind of progress where your tiny setup turns into something that feels like a system.
Danger is part of the loop
This line of work is not quiet. As your empire grows, you contend with intensifying law enforcement and cartel competitors operating in Hyland Point. When trouble shows up, you can fight using fists, melee weapons, or firearms such as a pistol. It is not just about winning fights - it is about managing risk, because every confrontation can derail your plans.
Solo or online co-op
You can play Schedule I alone or jump into online co-op multiplayer. Co-op changes the feel of the grind in a good way. One of you can focus on production while another handles deliveries, scouting, or just keeping the situation under control when things get messy. If you like planning roles with a friend, this is where the game can really click.
Setting and presentation
The game takes place in Hyland Point, a fictional city on the West Coast of the United States. The visual style is low poly and deliberately caricatured. It keeps the world readable and a bit rough around the edges - fitting for a story about starting from the bottom and chasing a crooked version of the American dream.
Should you try Schedule I in Early Access?
If you want a sandboxy sim where you cook, deliver, expand, and constantly adapt to pressure from cops and cartels, Schedule I is built around that loop. You get flexible camera perspectives (FPP or TPP), a clear progression path through properties and hired help, and the option to play solo or online co-op. Just expect a game where your growth invites attention - and where every big step forward can come with a new reason to look over your shoulder in Schedule I.
