Life is Strange: Reunion
You return to the world of Life is Strange for what feels like the final chapter. This time you get to experience the story through the eyes of both Max Caulfield and Chloe Price as they reunite after years.
What is the story about?
Max is having visions of a deadly fire that will consume Caledon University in just three days. She wants to prevent it but knows she can't do it alone. Chloe on the other hand is dealing with nightmares and impossible memories. She reaches out to her old friend for help.
The two must work together to face their problems. You will make devastating decisions along the way. Can they find a future together before everything burns? That question will stick with you.
How do you play?
The game is presented in third person perspective. You switch between controlling Max and Chloe. Each has her own way of dealing with the world.
Max has her iconic rewind power back. You can undo and redo decisions. Change how conversations go. Manipulate the environment to solve four dimensional puzzles. You can even jump between dimensions.
Chloe is different. No superpowers for her. Instead you use your wits, guile and barbed put downs. Her backtalk can open doors that would otherwise stay closed. It feels good to play a character that relies on being clever and a bit punk.
Your choices matter a lot
No one is safe from the coming blaze. You need to identify the culprits before your friends meet their fiery demise. Who will survive? That's all down to you and the decisions you make.
You explore the campus. You talk with the people there. You solve uncomplicated puzzles. All this moves the story forward. The ending depends on what you do.
Life is Strange Remastered is a single player game. It is all about the narrative and the characters. If you liked previous games in the series you will feel right at home here.
There is an exclusive soundtrack too. It has a rich original score, songs and licensed tracks that are both nostalgic and new.
