Conrad B. Hart opens his eyes on Titan. No memory. Just a message he sent to himself before they wiped his brain. Something about an alien invasion. Something about Earth. You guide him through the neon streets of New Washington, jump across floating platforms, and shoot anything that moves. Classic sci-fi platforming, but sharper than ever.

This is Flashback, the 2013 remake of the 1992 cult hit. Developed by VectorCell and published by Ubisoft, it keeps the old-school challenge but adds modern combat and a full visual overhaul.

Inside Flashback

Platforming is the core. You run, jump, and climb through 2.5D levels that mix cyberpunk corridors with alien jungles. Traps wait around every corner. So do enemies. You can now aim in any direction - no more awkward straight shooting. That alone changes everything.

Experience points let you upgrade Conrad in three areas. Health, combat, or gear? Pick your poison. Honest? I went full combat. Died less. Died a lot anyway.

The story unfolds through animated cutscenes. Conrad's memory returns in fragments. You visit Titan, then Earth, then a alien ship. Each location has its own look. That blue glow of Titan's sky? Sticks with you.

Interface and subtitles available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish (unofficial), Russian, Dutch, Portuguese-Brazil, Japanese. Audio in English.

Sometimes you just stand there and stare at the background. Yeah, that happens. The art style respects the original but pushes it forward. Pixel art vibes with modern lighting.
