How Final Fantasy XIII-2 Plays

You control Serah and Noel in battle. Your third party member? A monster you captured and trained. Yeah, that happens. You'll catch creatures, level them up, and swap them in mid-fight. Combat is part real-time, part command-based. Paradigms return - switch roles on the fly.

The story branches based on your choices. Multiple endings mean you might replay whole sections. Not gonna lie - some puzzles feel unfair. But when you nail a boss after ten tries? Great feeling. Weather changes map layouts. NPCs react to rain or sun. Small details that keep things alive.
