Inside Shenmue I and II

Shenmue was one of the first true sandbox games. Not gonna lie - it changed everything. You walk through 1980s Japan, talking to anyone who might know something. Work a forklift job to earn cash. Play darts. Visit the local arcade. All while hunting for your father's killer.

The combat is based on real martial arts. You learn new moves by practicing them. Over and over. Trust me on this - you'll need them. The story unfolds at its own pace. Slow. Deliberate. Like real life.

Switch between modern and classic controls. Both work fine. The enhanced graphics make the old world look crisp on modern screens. Day and night cycles affect who you meet and what they say.

I died. A lot. Especially during those QTE sequences. But that's part of the charm.
