You get behind the wheel in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as one of many characters from the Sonic universe. The game lets you choose from 23 iconic characters including Team Sonic, Babylon Rogues, Team Chaotix and even the Deadly Six. You race in karts and other machines that work on land, on sea, in the air and even in space.

What makes this racer different? You use teleport rings during the second lap to jump to one of 15 CrossWorld courses. These take you to totally new places like a dinosaur land or futuristic tracks. Then you return to the original course for the final lap where everything looks different. It keeps each race feeling fresh and surprising.

Build and Tune Your Vehicle

You can create your own ultimate vehicle. Pick from over 45 unique original vehicles and more than 70 gadgets. These gadgets let you adjust movement boost efficiency, item chance, recovery time and lots more. There are five character and vehicle classes to pick from: Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Power and Boost. You mix front, rear and tire parts to tune the stats exactly how you want them. Finish it off with custom paint jobs and decals so your racer really stands out.

Do you like to go as fast as possible or do you prefer better handling in tight turns? The customization system lets you decide and create a playstyle that fits you perfectly.

Different Ways to Play

You can enjoy Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds alone or with others. The game supports singleplayer and multiplayer. Play locally on split screen with a friend or jump online to race against up to 12 players from around the world.

Try the classic Grand Prix where you compete across four courses to earn the most points. Or check out Race Park where you race in teams of two to four players with unique rule sets like collecting the most rings or knocking out opponents. You can even make up your own custom rulesets. Time Trials let you practice one course alone and upload your best times to global leaderboards. If you enjoy transforming vehicles that work on land, on sea, in the air and even in space like in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, this game offers similar thrilling experiences.

Online in World Match you aim for the top Legend Rank. A new Rival system picks a special opponent each race who is faster and smarter. Beat them for bonus rewards and special dialogue. It adds some extra excitement to every match.

Content That Keeps Growing

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds gets ongoing free updates with new characters, vehicles, music, sounds and gadgets. You will see characters from across the SEGA universe join the race like Joker, Ichiban, Hatsune Miku, AiAi and NiGHTS. If you want even more there is a Season Pass with guest crossovers from big franchises including SpongeBob SquarePants and Minecraft. These packs add new playable racers, courses, decals, sounds and more.

You can join limited time Festivals where players worldwide team up into three groups to compete for points with special rules. The winning team gets bonus rewards. For the best players there are Legend Competitions only for high ranked racers. These give you a chance to earn special items and aim for the Emerald Racer rank.

You use power-up items during races to gain an advantage over the other drivers. Everything combines to create races that feel different each time you play.
