How From Dust Plays

From Dust isn't your typical god game. You don't build cities or command armies. Instead, you interact directly with the environment. Water erodes sand. Lava turns to rock. Rivers carve canyons. Your tool is the Breath, a swirling black sphere that picks up and drops terrain wherever you aim. Simple, right? Wrong.

Each island is a puzzle. Save your tribe from a tidal wave. Build a path across a lava lake. Protect the sacred trees from fire. Fail, and your people scatter. Succeed, and they build villages, learn new songs, and remember who they were. Sometimes you just stand there and watch the water flow. Yeah, that happens.

The campaign lasts 10-15 hours. After that, you can replay islands and experiment freely. The world keeps changing - animals appear, rivers dry up, new threats emerge. There's no right way to play.
